Good morning girls and boys!
We are excited to have you back for another fun day of learning! Please watch the flipgrid video for reading and then read independently for 20 minutes. Your flipgrid post will be a retelling (telling the story in your own words) of the chapter from Frog and Toad Are Friends that Ms. England reads in her video. Ms. Heineberg Reading -THEN, after you read independently, please retell one of the books (or one chapter of a book) you read to a parent or older sibling (do NOT record this retelling on flipgrid) When you have finished your assignment click on this choice board and pick an activity to complete until our language arts lesson. | Today we will begin with a grammar activity. (Remember to check your feedback from the last grammar lesson: Tuesday, March 24, Grammar Time!) Ms. Heineberg Grammar Then, watch Mr. Ingersoll’s video on using checklists. Make sure you use a checklist with all of your book reviews. After, you will watch a student publish her book review and notice what she does when reading her own published book. Then, you will practice reading your book with the same strategies. Music Activity 1 - Percussion Instruments
1) Watch Olga’s introductory video!
2) Please watch the following BrainPop Jr. video on musical percussion instruments: https://jr.brainpop.com/artsandtechnology/music/percussioninstruments/

3) After watching the video, build a homemade music percussion instrument with simple things at home (you can use a can and a wooden spoon to make a drum; or a small container with rice to make a shaker etc.) You can look at the following website for inspiration: https://www.cbc.ca/parents/play/view/activity_musical_instruments.
4) Save the instrument for next week’s activities.
5) When you are done, complete the following Google form: Quick Music Activity Check
