Literacy- Students are working on building their staminas' (writing and reading for longer and longer without giving up). It is a challenge, but we know with practice we can grow and grow! Additionally, now that students are in the swing of life in first grade, readers and writers workshop are underway. Students are learning all about writing small moment stories and building good reading habits.
Math- Through daily concept development and fluency practice, students are practicing their addition facts of numbers up to 8. They are working with number bonds, number sentences, and understanding story problems. As they understand addition, students gain automaticity of facts.

Social Studies- Through games and role playing, students are learning to Identify and describe behaviors that contribute to cooperation and may cause conflict. These behaviors are connected to classroom rules and The Eagle Way.
Portuguese- Os alunos estão finalizando seus livros “Eu”, enquanto refletem sobre o alfabeto em português e buscam palavras com as letras de seus nomes.
